1-31. Minerals: Motivation of Skin Cell（日本語）

A cell is a battery.

Isn’t the expression a surprise to you?

Batteries have a positive and a negative potential, and the potential difference is created by separating two different types of metal ions with a membrane.

Cells are exactly the same.

By separating the two types of metal ions, an electromotive force (potential difference) is created, which is used as a basic energy source.

Electromotive force = Motivation of skin cells

This mechanism is a basic biological principle that has been passed down for 3.8 billion years.

We use this mechanism to work our nerves, brain and body.

In the case of us, human beings, the two types of metal ions are sodium and potassium.

The outside of the cell has more sodium ions and the inside of the cell has more potassium ions.

Taking Sodium ions as salt is not hard, but potassium ions are difficult to take and are easily lost through sweat, so people today are chronically deficient in potassium.

Thus, we can say our bodies are a “sodium-potassium ion battery”.

When the ions are deficient, cells go into a sleep mode and we feel drowsiness and fatigue.

For this reason,
